FNSKU Label Generator

Generate an Amazon FNSKU label for your thermal printer. Type the FNSKU, product title and condition, choose your roll, and download a ZPL file with a Code 128 barcode and the number of copies you need. It's free, with no account and no watermark on the ZPL.

Got many products? Use Excel to ZPL. Already have Amazon's label as a PDF? Convert it with PDF to ZPL.

Long titles are shortened to two lines.

Enter the FNSKU and product title.

Note on Watermarks: The ZPL download never carries a watermark. The preview and free PDFs are drawn by LabelZoom and show a small one, so print from the ZPL. Paid plans remove the watermark from PDFs.

The barcode is sized in dots for your printer: 2-dot bars at 203 dpi and 3-dot bars at 300 dpi.

Copies go out as one ^PQ command, so 500 labels is a nine-line file, not 500 labels of code.

Long titles are shortened to two lines, and ^ or ~ in a title can't break the label.

How to make an FNSKU label

  1. 1

Copy the FNSKU from your FBA inventory in Seller Central, and enter it with the product title and condition.

  2. 2

Choose your label size and print density, then set the number of copies. Click Preview label to see how it prints.

  3. 3

Click Download ZPL and send the file to your printer. Scan one label before you print the rest.

FNSKU label sizes this tool prints

An FNSKU is 10 characters, so its Code 128 barcode is 145 modules wide: about 1.43 in at 203 dpi and 1.45 in at 300 dpi. Every size below leaves clear space on both sides of the bars.

Why sellers print their own FNSKU labels in 2026

In the US, Amazon's FBA prep and labeling services ended on January 1, 2026. Amazon also ended commingling for inventory shipped on or after March 31, 2026, so sellers without the Brand Representative role now apply an Amazon barcode to each unit, even when the product has a manufacturer barcode. That's as of October 2026. Check Seller Central for what applies to your account.

Seller Central still makes item labels for free, so you may not need this tool. It's useful when you want to reprint one FNSKU without opening a shipment, or when you want ZPL for a Zebra printer instead of a PDF that passes through a driver's scaling.

Print FNSKU labels from a spreadsheet

For a shipment with many products, put one row per FNSKU in a sheet with the columns fnsku, title, condition and copies. Paste this 2 × 1 in, 203 dpi template into Excel to ZPL, and keep titles under about 50 characters, because that tool doesn't shorten them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers about making and printing Amazon FNSKU labels.

Is the FNSKU label generator free?
Yes. The ZPL file is free, needs no account, and carries no watermark, because your browser builds it. The preview and the PDF are drawn by LabelZoom and show a small watermark, which paid plans remove.
Where do I find my FNSKU?
Seller Central lists an FNSKU beside each SKU in your FBA inventory. It has 10 characters and usually starts with X0, or with B0 where Amazon uses the ASIN. The generator accepts other prefixes but warns you, because a mistyped code still makes a barcode that scans.
What has to be on an FNSKU label?
The barcode, the product title and the condition, which is what this tool prints. Sellers quoting Amazon's guidance on its forums also list black print on white, non-reflective labels with removable adhesive, sized from 1 × 2 in to 2 × 3 in. LabelZoom can't confirm that a label meets Amazon's rules, so check the current requirements in Seller Central and scan a test label before you print a full run.
Which label size should I choose?
Choose the size of the roll in your printer. 2 × 1 in is a common FNSKU roll. 2.625 × 1 in matches one label on Amazon's 30-up Letter sheet. Set the print density to your printer's own, 203 or 300 dpi, because ZPL sizes are in dots and the wrong density prints the label at the wrong size.
Will this print on a Rollo or DYMO printer?
ZPL needs a printer that reads ZPL, such as a Zebra or a ZPL-compatible model. Check your printer's manual for ZPL support. If it has none, use the PDF button and print through the printer's driver at 100% scale. The PDF holds one copy, and on the free plan it shows a watermark.
Should I use this or Amazon's own labels?
Use Seller Central when you're already in a shipment: it makes item labels for free, as sheets or as thermal-sized PDFs. This tool suits reprinting one FNSKU without opening a shipment, and printing native ZPL, which skips the driver's scaling.
How do I print a different quantity of each product?
Download one ZPL file per FNSKU, each with its own copies value. For a long list, use the Excel to ZPL converter with the template on this page: each spreadsheet row becomes one label with its own quantity.
Is my product data uploaded?
Not for the ZPL download, which is built in your browser. Clicking Preview or PDF sends that label's ZPL to LabelZoom to be drawn. On Pro plans and above, label payloads are not retained after conversion.
