Which format do you need?

ZPL to PDF — sharing labels with clients, archiving, or printing on standard printers. Vector output, crisp at any zoom.

ZPL to PNG — label previews in documentation, support tickets, or web apps. Lossless and universally supported.

ZPL to BMP / GIF / JPEG — legacy systems and size-sensitive integrations that require a specific raster format.

ZPL Viewer — when you just need to see the label, not save a file.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about ZPL conversion and LabelZoom.

Which output format should I choose?
PDF is best for sharing, archiving, and printing on office printers — it's vector-based and stays crisp at any zoom level. PNG is best for embedding label previews in documentation, tickets, or web pages. BMP and GIF exist for legacy systems that require them, and JPEG is useful when file size matters more than perfectly sharp barcode edges.
Can I convert in the other direction — into ZPL?
Yes. LabelZoom converts both ways: this page renders ZPL out to documents and images, and the image-to-ZPL tools convert PDFs, PNGs, JPGs, BMPs, and GIFs into optimized ZPL ready for Zebra thermal printers.
How accurate is the rendering?
LabelZoom uses its own rendering engine — not a wrapper around a third-party service — built to match physical Zebra printer output. Barcodes, built-in fonts, graphics, and positioning are rendered the way the printer firmware draws them, at your choice of 6, 8, 12, or 24 dpmm.
Is there an API for batch conversion?
Yes. Every tool on this site runs on the LabelZoom REST API (api.labelzoom.com), which you can call directly from your WMS, ERP, or shipping platform to convert thousands of labels per minute — with SLA-backed plans for production workloads.
