On-screen barcodes: A barcode that won’t scan off your screen isn’t necessarily wrong. Browser PDF viewers redraw the page at whatever zoom fits the window, and that rounding thickens or drops the hairline bars a scanner needs. The PDF keeps the exact geometry underneath — print it, or zoom in first, and the barcodes scan normally.

How to convert Fingerprint to PDF

    Save the job your system sends to the Honeywell printer, for example with BarTender's print-to-file option, then paste it above or upload the file.

    Set the density to the printer's resolution, 203 or 300 dpi. Leave the label size on Auto-detect to use the size the job declares.

Why turn a Fingerprint job into a PDF?
A Fingerprint job only means something to a Honeywell printer. As a PDF, the same label can go into a ticket, an audit file or an email to a customer who asks what their carton labels look like, and anyone can open it. It is also a quick way to check a job your software generated before it reaches a production line.
How big is each PDF page?
Fingerprint jobs usually declare the media in their setup block, with SETUP statements or a virtual setup file written through PRINT#1. When the job declares a width and length, the page uses them. Pick a label size above to override them, or leave it on Auto-detect and the page is sized from what the job declares or, failing that, from where its fields land.
Does every label in the job come out?
Yes. Fingerprint prints a label at each PRINTFEED (PF) statement, and each one becomes its own page in the PDF. A job that only configures the printer and never prints anything produces no pages, and the converter says so instead of returning a blank sheet.
Which statements end up on the page?
Text from PT or PRTXT with its font, size, direction and alignment; barcodes from PB or PRBAR in Code 39, Code 128, Code 93, EAN, UPC, Interleaved 2 of 5 and QR Code; and lines and boxes from PL and PX. Images sent with PRIMAGE aren't drawn yet, and fields filled at print time through FORMAT INPUT show their placeholder text.
